Who we are

Wingman (“we”, “us”) is a web application for airline pilots at wingmanpilot.app. This policy explains what information we process when you use the app, including when you sign in with Google, Apple, or email.

Information we collect

Account information. When you create or sign in to an account we receive identifiers from your chosen provider (for example email address, name, and a stable user ID from Google, Apple, or magic-link email). We store a profile on your account (such as airline preference) and trial / subscription status for Prep access.

Usage of Prep and related tools. When you look up a flight we process the flight number and date you enter, and we may store a count of Prep sessions used for your free trial. Flight, weather, ATIS, NOTAM, taxi, tracking, and AI briefing requests are handled to provide those features.

Content you create. If you use Logbook, study tools, or other modules that sync, we store the entries and progress you save under your account so they can sync across devices.

Device and technical data. Like most web apps, our hosting and analytics providers may process IP address, device/browser type, approximate location derived from IP, and basic request logs needed to operate and secure the service.

Local device storage. Some preferences and caches (for example theme, last Prep query, or offline-friendly data) may be stored in your browser’s local storage and are not always sent to our servers.

How we use information

• Provide and improve Wingman features (Prep, briefings, logbook, study tools, and related screens).
• Authenticate you, protect accounts, and enforce free-trial / access limits.
• Personalise non-operational UX defaults (for example airline preference).
• Monitor reliability, prevent abuse, and debug outages.
• Communicate about the service when needed (for example account or security notices).

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use Google user data for advertising. Sign-in with Google is used only to authenticate your Wingman account and obtain basic profile information needed to create that account.

Processors and third parties

We use trusted service providers to run Wingman. Depending on the feature you use, that may include:

• Supabase — authentication, database, and storage for account and app data.
• Google / Apple — optional social sign-in; they process authentication according to their own policies.
• Vercel — hosting, edge delivery, and optional product analytics.
• FlightAware AeroAPI — flight schedule, taxi, and related aviation data when you use Prep.
• SkyLink (via RapidAPI) — NOTAM source data.
• Anthropic / OpenAI — AI summarisation and spoken briefing generation when you request those features.
• Other public aviation feeds (for example weather or ADS-B aggregators) when a Prep section uses them.

These providers process data only as needed to deliver the requested feature, under their terms and our configuration. Flight and NOTAM lookups are made after you are signed in; we do not intend Prep APIs to be used anonymously.

Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and similar storage primarily for authentication sessions (via Supabase) and for remembering preferences. Analytics cookies or beacons may be used in production to understand aggregate product usage. You can clear site data in your browser at any time; signing out clears your auth session cookies.

Retention

Account and synced content are kept while your account is active. Trial counters and Prep session records are kept as needed to enforce access rules. Server logs and caches are retained for a limited operational period. You can delete your account in Settings → Profile → Delete account, which removes your Auth user and cascaded app data. You may also email hello@wingmanpilot.app.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete personal data, or to object to certain processing. Contact us to exercise these rights. If you signed in with Google or Apple, you can also revoke Wingman’s access from your Google or Apple account settings; that will not by itself delete data already stored in Wingman unless you request deletion.

International transfers

Our infrastructure providers may process data in the United States and other countries. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards offered by those providers.

Children

Wingman is intended for professional aircrew and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

We may update this policy as the product evolves. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.

Operational disclaimer

Wingman is a personal briefing and organisation aid. It is not an approved operational source. Always rely on your operator’s official documentation and briefing systems for flight planning and operational decisions.
